The Universal Safety Audit Programme aims to promote global aviation security through continuous auditing and monitoring of Member States' aviation security performance. Nigeria scored well in most key indicators, with the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority (FAAN) expressing the Authority's commitment to using the audit results as a roadmap for continuous improvement in services. Bolatito Aiyenigba, the Project Director at Breakthrough Action Nigeria, emphasized the importance of bringing TB screening services to people who may not otherwise access them. The outreach event at Apo Mechanic Village in Abuja targeted motor spare parts traders and motorists, aiming to reach individuals who may have been procrastinating or making excuses to get tested for TB. The initiative is focused on empowering people to recognize TB signs and symptoms, get tested, and support others affected by the disease. New technologies, such as mobile digital chest X-ray systems with artificial intelligence, have made screening more accessible and efficient. Chima Oriakor, Chairman of the Abuja Old Motor Spare Parts Mechanics, expressed appreciation for the free screening and treatment services, highlighting the economic challenges faced by the community. Diagnosis and care for TB are provided free of charge, with services available in every Local Government Area and 50 percent of all health facilities nationwide. The majority of the foreign students were admitted into universities, with fewer admissions to polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
