PENIEL SCHOOL EXCURSION TO THE CHINA CULTURAL CENTER IN ABUJA

Abuja, Nigeria – July 3, 2024 – The students and teachers of Peniel School embarked on an enriching excursion to the China Cultural Center in Nigeria. The visit began with a warm welcome from the center's staff, followed by a captivating video presentation on China’s tourism, tailored for the young audience.

The Director of the center, Mr. Li Xuda, delivered an inspiring welcome speech, highlighting the strong relationship between Nigeria and China. He shared insightful similarities between the two nations and expressed his hopes for the students to grow into cultural ambassadors.

Ms. Edi-ima then took the stage to educate the attendees on various aspects of Chinese culture, including festivals, cuisine, traditional attire and more. This was followed by a series of interactive activities designed to engage and entertain the students.

Mr. Salim hosted a fun and challenging chopsticks game, while Mr. Shi Changqiang led a session on paper cutting, an amazing Chinese handcraft. Ms. Zhang Yaping captivated the children with a delightful Chinese song, and Ms. Qin Fangfang introduced them to basic Chinese words.

The excursion also featured an art exhibition and calligraphy tour guided by Mr. Zakari, which fascinated both students and teachers. The visit concluded with a tour of the center’s library.

As a token of appreciation, gifts were presented to the students, and teachers by Mr. Liu Zhanping, the Deputy Director of CCCNIG. The memorable day was commemorated with a group photo, marking the end of a successful and educational excursion.
