New Cableway in Shizhushan, Fuqing is about to Put into Use

On April 21, the reporter learned that after nearly one-year renovation, the new cableway of Shizhushan in Fuqing will soon be put into trial operation.

The operation of Shizhushan cableway has been suspended since April 18, 2024, and the relevant units have invested about RMB 83.77 million to comprehensively upgrade the cableway. The new cableway is designed with a fully enclosed single-line circulating cable-releasing device and an 8-person hanging box, and the horizontal distance of the running line is 391.43 meters. Compared with the old one, the running speed of the new cableway is increased from 1.1 m/s to 3.5 m/s, and the one-way time is shortened to 3.7 minutes. Moreover, its mechanization, automation, safety, comfort and transport capacity have been significantly improved.
