本地一名女雇主称女佣英语水平不佳,工作表现不理想,还没有按要求将日常完成家务的所用时长记录下来。她原本打算拍视频在网上告诫其他雇主,但这一举动却在网上引起议论。

女佣中介公司Regent Maid Agency上周在Facebook发表声明,并且分享了一段相关视频,指公司得知近日有一名雇主在社交媒体上间接对公司进行抨击,因此希望进行说明。

中介表示,女雇主是一名“网红”,基于法律原因,不得公开她的身份。

“女雇主通过WhatsApp通知我们,指她打算向人力部和内政部反映此事。另外,作为一名网红,她也打算将自己的经历公开,以告诫其他雇主。”

雇主录下质问女佣视频

视频中可见,女雇主指着桌子上的一本笔记本,对站在一旁的女佣说道:“你听得到我说话吗?我现在不是在骂你,因为过去五分钟我一直在问你,但你一直不回应,所以我决定拍下视频。”

然而,过了一分钟后,女雇主继续追问女佣是否打算回答她的问题,但女佣依旧保持沉默。

见女佣一直闷不吭声,女雇主再次问道:“你打算回答吗?”

不过,女佣始终闭口不言,终于惹怒了女雇主。女雇主大发雷霆,拍桌子朝女佣怒吼,说道:“你以为自己是什么?我的时间很…… 你以为你是什么?”

视频最后,女雇主拍了一本笔记本的画面,上面详细地记录下女佣每一项完成家务所用的时长。不过,女雇主在翻到其中一页时,所用时长一栏并没有被填写。

中介负责人陈女士接受《8视界新闻网》访问时表示,涉事女佣来自缅甸,今年25岁,她自7月12日起为女雇主工作。

中介:雇主预算不足无法聘请英语流利的女佣

她透露,女雇主希望可以聘请英语流利的女佣,但她的预算只能聘用一名新手女佣。在面试时,中介也提醒了该名雇主,这名女佣的英语不好,但女雇主却执意要聘用,表示愿意给女佣时间学习。

然而,陈女士说,女佣开工后的第五天,中介就开始接到女雇主的投诉,指女佣英语不好,工作速度太慢,于是便要求女佣记录下所完成的家务的所用时长。

“有一天,雇主对女佣折衣服的方式不满意,要求女佣反复折到她满意为止,女佣就从下午1点折到凌晨12点。我们还必须提醒女雇主,女佣每天需要至少八小时的休息时间。”

此外,陈女士透露,女雇主一直对女佣工作速度表示不满,并指女佣没有按要求在笔记本里填写完成家务的时长。

中介:雇主一家态度强硬 甚至威胁中介

她也表示,中介经常就此事与女佣沟通,以缓解雇主的不满。然而,尽管中介一直努力解决此事,但雇主一家对员工态度强硬,甚至威胁他们。

“他们曾大声怒吼,并威胁我们的员工,说会闯进我们店里,甚至把媒体带到我们的店,在社交媒体平台上发布我们的‘丑闻’等。”

陈女士说,涉事女佣承受着巨大的压力,多次哭诉着请求把她接走,但雇主拒绝让她离开。“我们非常关心女佣心理健康,并一直在为她提供辅导。”

她表示,女雇主一家需要女佣的帮忙,但他们不同意支付更换女佣的第三方费用,所以他们希望涉事女佣继续为他们工作。有鉴于此,该名女佣目前还在为女雇主工作。

针对这起事件,全国职工总会家庭佣工中心回复《8视界新闻网》时表示,该中心已得知此事,并已将此事通报人力部,以进行进一步调查。

“我们鼓励任何需要帮助的外籍女佣,通过我们的24小时求助热线1800-2255-233,或是我们的Facebook页面与我们联系。”

Detailed Account Initial Complaints: Ms. L reported that the helper did not meet her expectations in terms of English proficiency and work pace. Despite being advised by our agent about these aspects, the helper’s performance remained unsatisfactory. Ms. L implemented a system requiring the helper to document completed chores and their duration, which led to further dissatisfaction. Agency’s Response and Support: Managing Expectations: Our agent worked to manage Ms. L’s expectations concerning the helper's capabilities and salary. Ongoing Support: We provided continuous support to both Ms. L and the helper, including counseling sessions to address the performance and communication issues. Helper’s Distress: The helper experienced significant stress due to the work environment, including instances of verbal abuse. The helper sought assistance and considered repatriation due to the challenging conditions. Further Complaints: Ms. L reported that the helper failed to fill out the chore notebook as required and experienced difficulties in communication. Despite our manager’s intervention to counsel both the helper and Ms. L, the dissatisfaction continued. Resolution Attempts: Ms. L was informed of the agency's policy regarding replacement fees and repatriation costs, which had been previously explained. Despite this, Ms. L’s inquiries and dissatisfaction persisted, even extending beyond working hours.
