2025 China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month to Kick Off in May

On May 18, the Launch Ceremony of the 2025 China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month and “Together for Prosperity in Fuzhou” Global Investment Promotion Conference will take place in Fuzhou.

In 1994, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Committee, initiated the first China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month themed “Together for Prosperity in Fuzhou”, attracting over 6,000 foreign investors from 22 countries and regions.

For over 30 years, Fuzhou has steadfastly upheld the essence of the “3820” strategic project, leveraging the International Investment Promotion Month to continuously carry forward the good traditions, experience and practices advocated by President Xi Jinping during his tenure in Fuzhou. The city has pioneered innovative models of attracting investment through business networks, conferences and funds, leading to an increasing number of the world’s top 500 companies such as China Communications Construction Company Limited, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, Mercedes-Benz Group, CATL, Tsingshan Holdings, and New Hope Group to establish footholds in Fuzhou.

To date, Fuzhou has nurtured six 100-billion-yuan industrial clusters, four 100-billion-yuan industrial parks, twenty 10-billion-yuan industrial enterprises, 217 industry-leading enterprises, and over 4,600 national high-tech enterprises. It boasts complete industrial chains in Nylon 6, flat-panel displays, polyurethane, polypropylene, etc. In 2024, Fuzhou’s GDP hit 1.42 trillion yuan, ranking 8th among China’s provincial capitals, with a per capita GDP of 168 thousand yuan, leading capital cities nationwide.

Endowed with a package of preferential policies including the Core Area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, China Pilot Free Trade Zone, National Innovation Demonstration Zone, National Maritime Economy Development Demonstration Zone, National Pilot Zone for Ecological Conservation, and National Pilot Zone for Integrated Urban-Rural Development, Fuzhou now once again extends a warm invitation to the world as the 2025 China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month approaches.
