During Jingzhe, Taipin Cherry Blossom Tea Garden, known as “the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing resort in China”, ushered in a flower viewing boom, and the cultural tourism economy with flowers as the medium was full of vitality. Since the opening of the garden, Taipin Cherry Blossom Tea Garden has received more than 300,000 tourists and achieved a revenue of tens of millions RMB.

Taipin Cherry Blossom Tea Garden is located in Yongfu Town, the core area of Taiwan Province Farmers Pioneer Park in Zhangping. Taiwan folk Xie Dongqing was the first farmer in Taiwan Province who took root in Yongfu. In 1990s, Xie introduced cherry blossoms from Taiwan Province to Yongfu Town. Since then, many farmers have followed, and they have also planted tea and cherry blossoms in the local area. After more than 20 years of hard work, it finally formed the grand scene of cherry blossoms.

Xie told reporters that thanks to the “flower economy”, his garden was listed in the “Top Ten Cherry Blossom Ornamental Places in China”, and was selected as “the first batch of excellent creative tourism products in Fujian Province”, “the demonstration site of leisure agriculture in Fujian Province” and “the national demonstration park for the integration and development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries of green food”, which became a model for the integration and development of agriculture in Fujian and Taiwan.

Since 2012, Zhangping has held the Cherry Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival every year, and introduced Taiwan Province cuisine, forming a tourism and leisure industry with cherry blossom viewing as the main feature, attracting more and more tourists to enjoy cherry blossoms, and the consumption in catering, accommodation, transportation and other fields has continued to increase, which has driven thousands of farmers in the region to increase their income and realized the transformation from “beautiful countryside” to “beautiful economy”.

“Good scenery brings good prospects. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom, which not only drives the development of local industries, but also increases the income of the people.” Xie told reporters that Fujian recently released the fourth batch of policies and measures to benefit Taiwan and benefit the people. Among them, the policies and measures such as “supporting the development of Taiwan Province Farmers Pioneer Park” and “supporting the development of green food in Fujian and Taiwan enterprises” left a deep impression on him and made him more confident in taking root in the development of the mainland of China.
