The Visit of China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park for the New Era to the UAE Yields Fruitful Results

From April 9th to 10th, 2025, the delegation of the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation Park for the New Era (hereinafter referred to as "China-BRICS SIIP") successfully visited University of Dubai (hereinafter referred to as "UD") and Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (hereinafter referred to as "SRTIP") in the United Arab Emirates. We conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as achievement transformation and the incubation of scientific and technological enterprises, achieving remarkable results.

On April 9th, the delegation of the China-BRICS SIIP had in-depth exchanges with University of Dubai. Based on the consensus reached during previous online meetings, both sides conducted detailed discussions on cooperation topics such as student exchange programs and the joint construction of research centers. This meeting deepened mutual understanding and trust between the two parties and successfully signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of UD, Professor Hussain AL Ahmad, Academic Vice President, Dr. Husameldin Mukhtar, Research Center Director, and other university leaders attended the signing ceremony, witnessing this important moment together.

The next day, the delegation of the China-BRICS SIIP visited SRTIP. During the meeting with Ms. Wafa Balaswad, Director Free Zone Operations of SRTIP, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cooperation matters such as mutual enterprise incubation and the hosting of promotional activities. Ms. Wafa Balaswad expressed high praise for the construction goals and achievements of the China-BRICS SIIP and expressed a strong willingness to conduct in-depth cooperation with the park. After the meeting, representatives from both sides signed a Letter of Intent, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. In addition, the delegation also visited SRTIP, gaining a more intuitive understanding of its innovation environment and ecosystem.

This visit to the UAE not only allowed the China-BRICS SIIP to successfully conduct field investigations of UD and SRTIP but also enabled in-depth negotiations with local partners. This visit laid a solid foundation for enhancing the international influence and service level of the park. In the future, the China-BRICS SIIP will continue to uphold the concept of open cooperation, actively seek cooperation opportunities with internationally renowned universities and science and technology parks, jointly promote scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation, and contribute to the development of BRICS countries and the global community.
