CCTV: We noted that a panel discussion themed on “commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women” was held at the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council. China’s female astronaut Liu Yang delivered remarks via video link at the panel discussion. Can you share more details?

林剑：今年是北京世界妇女大会召开30周年。2月24日，正在日内瓦举行的联合国人权理事会第58届会议根据中国同有关国家共同提出的决议要求，成功举行了“纪念《北京宣言》和《行动纲领》三十周年”专题研讨会，多位女性联合国机构负责人作为嘉宾致辞。中国首位进入太空的女航天员刘洋作为世界杰出妇女代表以视频方式作主旨发言，介绍新时代中国妇女事业高质量发展理念和成就。刘洋表示，作为《北京宣言》精神的受益者、践行者，科技赋能妇女的见证者，当神舟飞船引擎点燃时，感受到的不仅仅是600吨推力的震撼，更是亿万中国女性托举的力量。“中国航天标准面前无性别”的平等理念彰显了中国妇女事业发展的核心逻辑，即通过制度保障创造公平竞争环境，这正是《北京宣言》精神的具体实践。

Lin Jian: This year marks the 30th anniversary of the World Conference on Women in Beijing. On February 24, according to the resolution jointly proposed by China and relevant countries, a panel discussion themed on “commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women” was held at the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Several female heads of U.N. agencies delivered remarks as panelists. Liu Yang, China’s first female astronaut in space, delivered a keynote speech via video link as a representative of outstanding women in the world, sharing China’s visions and achievements in the high-quality development in women’s cause in the new era. In her speech, Liu Yang noted that she is a beneficiary and practitioner of the spirit of Beijing Declaration, and as well as a witness of women empowerment through technology. When the engine of the Shenzhou spacecraft was ignited, she felt not only the shock of 600 tonnes of thrust, but also the power of hundreds of millions of Chinese women backing it up. The idea that “standards know no gender in the selection and training of Chinese astronauts” reflects the core logic of women’s cause in China, that is to institutionalize a fair and equitable competition environment for both men and women. This is also a concrete realization of the spirit of the Beijing Declaration.

《北京宣言》和《行动纲领》是世界妇女事业发展史上的里程碑，对保护和促进妇女权利产生了积极深远影响。中国将以纪念《北京宣言》和《行动纲领》通过30周年为契机，与国际社会一道，在新的历史起点上为世界妇女事业发展注入新的强劲动力。

The adoption of Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action marks a milestone in the development of women’s cause globally and has had a positive and profound influence on the protection and advancement of women’s rights. As we mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, China will work with the international community to inject strong new impetus to the development of women’s cause globally at this new historical starting point.

彭博社记者：知情人士称，乌克兰已同意与美国共同开发乌自然资源，此举可能缓解特朗普和乌克兰方面间的紧张关系，推进美政府实现俄乌停火的目标。中方如何看待这一安排？

Bloomberg: Ukraine has agreed with the U.S. on a deal to jointly develop its natural resources. This is according to reports citing people familiar with the matter. This move is considered as a possible easing of tension or could give way to easing of tension between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukraine and help him to advance his administration’s goal of a ceasefire with Russia. So my question would be, how does China view this deal?

林剑：中方注意到有关报道。

路透社记者：美国周二宣布一项调查，可能对铜进口征收新的关税。白宫官员称，导致该决定的部分原因是中国正利用国家补贴和“产能过剩”来削弱竞争，控制全球铜生产。外交部对此有何评论？

Reuters: The U.S. on Tuesday announced an investigation which could lead to new tariffs on copper imports. As part of the decision, a White House official said China was using state subsidies and excess capacity to undermine competition and gain control of global copper production. Would the Foreign Ministry like to comment on this remark?

林剑：具体问题建议向中方主管部门了解。我要强调，贸易战、关税战没有赢家，损害的是各国人民的利益。我们坚决反对美方单方面加征关税的做法，双方应通过平等和相互尊重的对话与协商解决各自关切。中方将继续采取必要措施，坚定维护自身正当权益。

Lin Jian: I’d like to refer you to the competent authorities for the specific question you asked. Let me stress that trade and tariff wars have no winners and undermine the interests of people from all countries. We firmly oppose the U.S. unilateral tariff hikes. The two sides need to address each other’s concerns through dialogue and consultation on the basis of equality and mutual respect. China will continue to do what is necessary to firmly safeguard our legitimate rights and interests.

路透社记者：台湾当局称，中国大陆在未事先通知的情况下，在台湾岛西南海岸约40海里处设立了“射击训练”演习区。外交部对此有何评论？

Reuters: The Taiwan authorities say that China’s mainland has set up a drill zone for “shooting training” without prior notice around 40 nautical miles off the island’s southwest coast. Would the Foreign Ministry like to comment?

林剑：这不是一个外交问题。

Lin Jian: This is not a question related to foreign affairs.

路透社记者：库克群岛总理布朗今天在议会反对党针对库中协议发起的不信任投票中过关。该协议导致库克群岛和新西兰的关系紧张。外交部对此有何评论？

Reuters: Cook Islands Prime Minister Mark Brown survived a vote of no confidence in parliament today brought by the opposition over deals he struck with China that strained relations with New Zealand. Does the Foreign Ministry have any comment?

林剑：此前我们已经介绍过在有关问题上的立场。我想再次强调，中方愿在相互尊重、平等相待基础上发展同库克群岛等太平洋岛国友好合作关系，促进共同发展。

Lin Jian: We stated our position on relevant issue the other day. Let me stress once again that China stands ready to, on the basis of mutual respect and equality, grow friendly and cooperative ties with the Cook Islands and other Pacific island countries and pursue common development.

《北京青年报》记者：据报道，特朗普政府日前解冻53亿美元“援外资金”，其中包括8.7亿美元对台军援。中方对此有何评论？

Beijing Youth Daily: It’s reported that the Trump administration has released US$5.3 billion in previously frozen foreign aid, including US$870 million designated for military assistance to Taiwan. What’s China’s comment?

林剑：我们对有关报道感到严重关切。美国向中国台湾地区提供军事援助，严重违反一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报，严重侵犯中国主权和安全利益，向“台独”分裂势力发出严重错误信号，中方历来坚决反对。我们敦促美方停止武装台湾，停止破坏台海和平稳定。中方将密切关注形势发展，坚定捍卫国家主权、安全和领土完整。

Lin Jian: We are deeply concerned over relevant reports. China has all along opposed U.S. military assistance to China’s Taiwan region, which has severely violated the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiqués, undermined China’s sovereignty and security interests, and sent a gravely wrong signal to “Taiwan independence” separatist forces. We urge the U.S. to stop arming Taiwan and undermining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. China will closely follow the situation and firmly defend national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

法新社记者：台湾“海巡署”昨日以切断海底电缆为由扣留了一艘大陆船只，船上有八名中国公民。外交部能否予以证实并提供更多信息？

AFP: Taiwan’s coast guard said it detained a cargo ship crewed by eight Chinese nationals yesterday after a subsea telecom cable was severed off the island. Can the Foreign Ministry confirm this and give any more details?

林剑：我昨天回答了这个问题。这不是一个外交问题。
