Over 180000 Taiwan Compatriots Entered and Exited Fuzhou Airport Last Year, An Increase of About 2.3 Times Compared With 2023

The reporter learned from Fuzhou Airport Border Inspection Station on January 1 that in 2024, Fuzhou Airport Border Inspection Station released more than 180000 inbound and outbound Taiwan compatriots, with an average daily release of more than 490 people, an increase of about 2.3 times compared with 2023.

In order to thoroughly implement the “Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Supporting Fujian to Explore a New Road for Cross-Strait Integration and Development and Build a Demonstration Zone for Cross-Strait Integration and Development”, the People’s Republic of China Entry-Exit Administration issued the “Ten Measures” on November 6, 2023 to encourage Taiwan compatriots to settle down in Fujian and facilitate their development in Fujian, and it was implemented on January 1, 2024.

“The process of handling fast customs clearance filing procedures is convenient, the police have a good attitude, patiently answer the questions, and the border inspection service is getting better!” Mr. Chen, a Taiwan compatriot who has gone through the formalities of fast-track information collection and filing, praised.

According to statistics, as of December 31, 2024, more than 2,200 Taiwan compatriots have gone through fast customs clearance procedures, making it more convenient to travel between Fujian and Taiwan. At present, Fuzhou Airport has opened three direct air routes to Taiwan, including Taipei Taoyuan, Taipei Songshan and Kaohsiung, with an average of six flights a day.
