Brilliance and Abstraction (Curatorial Notes)

有些“对话”是偶然的也是必然的。在这场关于美和传承的对话里，有些是我特别关注的：

Some “dialogues” are both coincidental and inevitable. In this conversation about aethtetic and heritage, there are a few aspects that I find particularly compelling:

珍贵宝石和天然石材源于地球亿万年的沉淀，是大自然的馈赠。而人造材料则是工业革命和现代科技发展的结晶，象征人类的创造力。这两者在这次展览的中通过艺术实现了和谐共存。


Precious gemstones and natural stones, born from millions of years of Earth’s sedimentation, are gifts from nature. Artificial materials, on the other hand, are the fruits of the industrial revolution and modern technological progress, symbolizing human creativity. Through this exhibition, art achieves a harmonious coexistence between these two realms.

珠宝因其稀有性和耐久性，被视为永恒的象征。

雕塑材料如陶瓷、青铜，尽管拥有历史传承，却因其易损性或表面氧化记录着时间的痕迹。“永恒与瞬间”是我们一直在思考的哲学命题。

Jewelry, with its rarity and durability, is often seen as a symbol of eternity.

Sculptural materials like ceramics and bronze, despite their historical lineage, reveal the passage of time through their fragility and surface oxidation. “Eternity and the ephemeral” remain philosophical questions we continually explore.

珠宝和雕塑材料都承载了浓厚的文化背景，如果我们说钻石象征西方的奢华，那么青铜是否可以代表东方的古典传承。在这次“对话”中我们能看到东西方文化的碰撞与交融。


Both jewelry and sculptural materials carry deep cultural significance. If diamonds are said to represent Western opulence, could bronze be seen as a reflection of Eastern classical heritage? In this “dialogue,” we observe the clash and blending of Eastern and Western cultures.
