UK mayors' delegation visits Shenzhen to expand cooperation

ThedelegationtookagroupphotoattheheadquartersofMindrayinNanshanDistrict,Shenzhen.

Thedelegation,representingthecoreareasofBritishmanufacturingandfinance,includedthemayoroftheWestMidlands,thedeputymayorofGreaterLondon,thedeputymayorofLiverpool,thedeputymayorofGreaterManchester,thedeputymayoroftheEastMidlands,aswellasofficialsfromtheBritishEmbassyinBeijingandrepresentativesfromvariousbusinessassociations.TheBritishmayorsvisitedShenzhentogether,touringlocalenterprisesincludingTencent,BYD,HONOR,andMindray.ThedelegationexaminedShenzhen'sachievementsintechnologicalinnovationandindustrialdevelopmentmodels,attemptingtodecodethesecretsbehindthecity'srapidriseintheglobaltechnologyandeconomicfields.

OnthemorningofMarch18,thedelegationvisitedShenzhenMindrayBio-MedicalElectronicsCo.,Ltd.(referredtoas"Mindray")andsawthecompany'smedicalproducts,includingHospitalwideSolution,LaboratoryDiagnosticsSolution,andMedicalImagingSolution.

AmemberofthedelegationexpressedhighpraiseforMindray'sadvancedtechnology.TheofficialnotedthatMindray'scutting-edgetechnologiesinthefieldofmedicalequipmentareforward-looking.TheUKsidewillactivelyexplorethepossibilityofintroducingthesetechnologiesintotheNationalHealthService(NHS)andassesstheirapplicationprospectsinimprovingtheefficiencyofmedicalservices.

Duringtheirvisit,thedelegationexpressedtheirdesiretobuildacloserandmorecooperativerelationshipwithShenzhenontheexistingbasis,andtodeepenexchangesinthefieldsofeconomy,culture,andmore.

OnememberofthedelegationmentionedthattheUKhasalreadybegunusingbigdatatosupportpublicservicesandleveragingartificialintelligencetoimprovetransportationsystems.
