More than 100 Hong Kong youths Visit Fuzhou to Immerse Themselves in the Development Vitality of the Mainland of China

On April 2, the reporter learned that “Hong Kong and Macao Youth Motherland Visit Fujian Tide” came to Fuzhou. More than 130 Hong Kong youths who participated in the activity walked into the Fujian-Hong Kong Cooperation Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee) of Fuzhou New District and the Fuzhou Branch of the Commercial Press to immerse themselves in the development vitality and cultural heritage of Fuzhou.

As the only Advisory Committee for cross-border cooperation between Fujian Province and Hong Kong, since its establishment, the Advisory Committee has been actively exploring a new win-win model for cooperation between the Mainlandof Chinaand Hong Kong based on “what Fujian needs and what Hong Kong is good at”. During the visit, young people in Hong Kong got a detailed understanding of the operation mode and development achievements of the Advisory Committee.

Huang Jinda, executive vice chairman of the Hong Kong Elite Club, is also the Hong Kong team leader of the Cultural and Creative Tourism Group of the Advisory Committee. He said that the establishment of a number of special working groups such as digital economy and finance by the Advisory Committee has promoted dozens of cooperation issues. He hoped that this trip will make young people in Hong Kong more deeply aware that the cooperation between Fujian and Hong Kong is moving towards a deeper level and a wider field, and I also hope that Fujian and Hong Kong will carry out more cooperation in the field of cultural tourism industry in the future.

Later, young people from Hong Kong came to Fuzhou Branch of the Commercial Press. Walking into the reading experience center on the first floor, many young people in Hong Kong choose their favorite books here and feel the charm of reading. The historical exhibition of Fuzhou celebrities and the Commercial Press on the second floor shows the indissoluble bond between Fuzhou people and the Commercial Press through rich historical materials and precious cultural relics. The young people from Hong Kong who participated in the activities said that this trip had a deeper understanding of Fuzhou’scultural contribution and appreciated the profoundness of Chinese traditional culture.
