总台央视记者：12月20日，澳门将迎来庆祝回归25周年。发言人如何评价澳门回归以来取得的对外交往合作成果？

CCTV: December 20 will mark the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland. How would you comment on Macao’s achievements in international exchange and cooperation since its return?

林剑：澳门回归祖国25年来，具有澳门特色的“一国两制”实践取得举世瞩目成就，宪法和澳门基本法确立的宪制秩序牢固树立，经济快速发展，民生持续改善，社会和谐稳定。

Lin Jian: Twenty-five years on since its return to the motherland, Macao has made remarkable achievements in implementing One Country, Two Systems with Macao characteristics and consolidated the constitutional order established in the Constitution and the Basic Law of Macao. It is now enjoying rapid economic growth, steady improvement in people’s wellbeing, and social harmony and stability.

在中央政府大力支持下，澳门积极开展对外交往合作，全球“朋友圈”越来越大。澳门参与国际组织和机构的数量增加到190多个，获得147个国家和地区免签或落地签待遇，适用于澳门的多边条约多达750余项，与外国签署的各类协定接近60项。澳门已经与120多个国家和地区建立了稳固的经贸文化联系，友好城市增加到13个。2023年，澳门与共建“一带一路”国家进出口总额达到近300亿元人民币，创下历史纪录。澳门充分发挥葡语国家“精准联系人”的作用，连续举办六届中国与葡语国家经贸合作论坛部长级会议和一届部长级特别会议，助力中国与葡语国家交流合作。此外，澳门还获得“创意城市美食之都”、“东亚文化之都”、“最佳亚洲会议城市”、“最佳会议商务城市”等多项殊荣，“澳门历史建筑群”入选《世界遗产名录》，澳门的国际知名度显著提升。

With the strong support of the central government, Macao has actively carried out international exchange and cooperation and made more friends globally. It has taken part in over 190 international organizations and institutions, received visa-free or visa-upon-arrival treatment from 147 countries and regions, and signed close to 60 treaties of various kinds with other countries, with more than 750 multilateral agreements applicable to the region. Macao has also set up stable economic, trade and cultural links with more than 120 countries and regions, and paired with 13 sister cities. In 2023, import and export between Macao and countries participating in Belt and Road cooperation totaled close to RMB 30 billion, hitting a record high. Macao has fully leveraged its role as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. It has held six ministerial conferences consecutively and a special ministerial conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), which boosted exchange and cooperation between China and these countries. Besides, Macao received many awards, such as the Creative City of Gastronomy, the Culture City of East Asia, the Best Convention City (Asia), and the Best BT-MICE City. The Historic Centre of Macao was inscribed on the World Heritage List. They have certainly elevated Macao’s profile on the international scene.

展望未来，我们相信，在中央政府和祖国内地大力支持下，在澳门特区政府和社会各界共同努力下，澳门将继续书写“一国两制”成功实践新的华彩篇章，不断擦亮国际大都市的“金名片”。

We have no doubt that with the strong support of the central government and the mainland as well as the concerted effort of the Macao SAR Government and people from all walks of life, Macao will write new chapters in the successful implementation of One Country, Two Systems and continue to thrive as an international metropolis.

路透社记者：美国国会将在未来几天就限制美对华投资相关法案进行投票，该法案将扩大对技术投资的限制，并包括涉华国家安全关切的相关条款。中方对此有何回应？

Reuters: The US Congress is set to vote in the coming days on legislation restricting US investments in China as part of a bill that will expand restrictions on technology investments, including provisions covering national security concerns about China. What is China’s response to this?

林剑：中美经贸合作互利共赢，造福两国人民。泛化国家安全概念、出于政治目的对正常经贸往来人为设置障碍的做法，违背美方一贯标榜的市场经济、公平竞争、自由贸易原则，扰乱全球产供链稳定，不符合任何一方利益。中方敦促美方有关政客停止将经贸问题政治化、武器化，为两国经贸合作创造必要条件。

Lin Jian: China-US economic and trade cooperation benefits each other and the people of both countries. To overstretch the concept of national security and deliberately obstruct normal economic and trade exchange for political agenda contravenes the principles of market economy, fair competition and free trade, which the US claims to champion. Such moves also destabilize global industrial and supply chains and do not serve any party’s interests. China urges relevant US politicians to stop politicizing and weaponizing economic and trade issues and foster necessary conditions for the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

印度报业托拉斯记者：中国外交部长王毅和印度国家安全顾问多瓦尔于今日举行中印边界问题特别代表会议第23次会晤。发言人能否提供更多信息？

PTI: Do you have any details regarding today’s special representatives’ talks between Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Indian National Security Adviser Doval?

林剑：据我了解，有关活动还在进行中。我们会适时发布消息，请你保持关注。

法新社记者：太平洋岛国瓦努阿图发生7.3级地震，至少2名中国公民遇难。外交部能否予以证实？中方是否会协助瓦努阿图救灾？

AFP: Regarding the 7.3-magnitude earthquake in the Pacific island of Vanuatu, can the Foreign Ministry confirm that at least two Chinese citizens were killed and will China provide aid for recovery efforts?

林剑：中方高度关注瓦努阿图地震灾情，对瓦方表示诚挚慰问，希望瓦政府和人民早日克服困难，恢复正常生产生活。中国援瓦医疗队正在当地医院积极参与治疗当地受伤民众，当地中资企业主动调用机械设备，帮助瓦方开展救灾，受到瓦努阿图政府和民众好评。中方将与瓦政府保持密切联系，及时向瓦努阿图赈灾提供支持。

Lin Jian: China is closely following the situation after the earthquake and extends our deep sympathies to Vanuatu. We hope and believe that the government and people of Vanuatu will pull through this trying time and that life and work will return to normal as soon as possible. China’s medical team in Vanuatu is actively helping treat the injured at the local hospital. A Chinese company there voluntarily provided machinery to help with the quake relief, which was welcomed by the local government and people. China will keep in close contact with the government of Vanuatu and provide timely support for its quake relief effort.

地震发生后，驻瓦努阿图使馆多方核实在瓦中国公民安全情况，协调当地救援力量全力救援。截至目前，有2名中国公民在地震中遇难，2人受伤。驻瓦努阿图使馆已派员赴现场开展工作，将全力协助伤员救治和遇难人员善后工作。外交部和驻瓦努阿图使馆将继续跟进救援进展，向在瓦中国公民和机构积极提供领事保护与协助。

In the wake of the earthquake, the Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu has been checking with various sources the safety of Chinese nationals in Vanuatu and coordinating with local rescue and relief teams to make all-out rescue efforts. So far, two Chinese nationals have lost their lives and two injured in the earthquake. Our Embassy has sent personnel to the scene and will do everything we can to assist the effort to save lives, treat the injured and make proper arrangements for the deceased. The Foreign Ministry and our Embassy in Vanuatu will continue to follow the rescue and relief effort and provide consular protection and assistance to Chinese nationals and institutions in Vanuatu.

《北京青年报》记者：据报道，上周末《黑神话：悟空》在被称为“游戏界奥斯卡”的全球年度游戏大奖TGA中获多项提名并最终斩获年度“最佳动作游戏”和“玩家之声”两个奖项，实现中国游戏史上“零的突破”。发言人对此有何评论？

Beijing Youth Daily: It’s reported that last weekend, Black Myth: Wukong earned several nominations at The Game Awards 2024 dubbed “the Oscars of gaming” and took home the Best Action Game and Players’ Voice awards. It’s the first Chinese game that won these awards. What’s your comment?

林剑：我们对《黑神话：悟空》获奖表示祝贺。很高兴看到《西游记》这部400多年前的中国神话小说在数字化技术“加持”下大放异彩，“圈粉”全球玩家。

Lin Jian: Congratulations to Black Myth: Wukong on winning the awards. We are truly glad that as one of China’s most celebrated mythology novels, Journey to the West—four centuries after it was written—is now digitally transformed into a stunning video game and taking the world by storm.

当东方美学邂逅现代科技，当传统文化融入新兴产业，我们看到中国“现象级IP剧目”在泰国、日本、美国等地热播，让海外观众频频“催更”；中国网文作品被收录至大英图书馆的中文馆藏书目，让各国读者直呼过瘾；中国游戏“刷屏”全网，为大家打开探索中国传统文化的大门，唤起全球玩家的情感共鸣，激发不同文明的双向奔赴。

Black Myth: Wukong is not the only example of success when Eastern aesthetics meets modern technology and when emerging industries embrace traditional culture. Iconic Chinese TV dramas have been immensely popular in countries like Thailand, Japan, and the US with viewers constantly calling for new episodes. Chinese internet literature has been added by the British Library to its Chinese collection, and drawn fans from all over the world. The massive success of Chinese gaming industry has opened the door to exploring traditional Chinese culture. It has found the cultural wavelength that resonates with players worldwide, and provides a fresh way for cultures to meet and inspire each other.

“中国风”吹向世界，也带领外国朋友们走近中国。不少外国朋友“跟着悟空游中国”，实地探访晋城玉皇庙、应县木塔、杭州灵隐寺、重庆大足石刻等中国古建，探寻陕北说书人，重走西游“取经路”，做起现实版的“天命人”。

While gaining popularity outside China, Chinese cultural products are bringing international friends into China. Many are retracing Wukong’s journey by visiting some of the scenic spots that appeared in the game, such as Yuhuang Temple in Jincheng, the Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian, Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, Dazu Rock Carvings in Chongqing and other ancient architectural sites as well as discovering the performances of traditional storytellers in northern Shaanxi, giving these visitors an extraordinary experience of what it is like to be the hero of the Journey to the West and “the Destined One” in the game.

路透社记者：美国议员已提出三项针对中方在芬太尼危机中作用的法案，将建立特别工作组阻止毒品贩运，为制裁中国实体铺平道路。外交部对此有何回应？

Reuters: US lawmakers have proposed three bills aimed at China’s role in the fentanyl crisis, with measures that would set up a task force to disrupt narcotics trafficking and pave the way for sanctions on Chinese entities. Does the ministry have a response to this?

林剑：中方坚决反对美方一些政客扭曲事实、散布虚假信息、抹黑中方禁毒努力。中国是禁毒最坚决、政策最彻底、纪录最良好的国家，也是世界上列管物质最多、管制最严格的国家之一。中国禁毒部门始终严格依法打击制毒化学品流失，规范相关企业合法合规经营。

Lin Jian: China certainly won’t accept it when some US politicians distort the facts and use disinformation to smear China’s counternarcotics efforts. China has the toughest resolve and policy against drugs and we have one of the best counternarcotics track records in the world. China has scheduled the largest number of substances and has the strictest drug control in the world. Everyday, China’s counternarcotics authorities fight the illicit diversion of precursor chemicals in strict accordance with the law and make sure that relevant companies do their business in accordance with the laws and regulations.

美国毒品泛滥根源在于自身，解决问题的钥匙也在美方自己手中。奉劝美方一些政客正视美国自身问题，在加强国内监管、减少国内需求方面推动采取更多实质举措，而不是内病外治、甩锅推责。

The US needs to look within for the root cause of the issue of drug abuse, and the key to resolving the issue lies in the US’s own hands. We call on some US politicians to face the US’s own issues squarely and take more practical measures to strengthen drug control and cut demand at home, rather than scapegoating others.
