Reuters: Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval for talks on the China-India border issue tomorrow, the first such high-level talks since December 2019. Are you able to tell us what is on the agenda? What is needed to rebuild trust between the two countries?

林剑：中方昨天已发布了消息，中印边界问题特别代表第23次会晤将于12月18日在北京举行。我们会适时发布会晤相关信息，请你保持关注。

Lin Jian: As we announced yesterday, the 23rd meeting between the Special Representatives of China and India on the boundary question will be held on December 18 in Beijing. We will release information about the meeting in due course. Please stay tuned.

关于第二个问题，中方愿同印方一道，落实好两国领导人重要共识，相互尊重彼此核心利益和重大关切，通过对话沟通增进互信，秉持诚意诚信妥处分歧，推动两国关系早日重回稳定健康发展轨道。

On your second question, China is ready to work with India to implement the important common understandings between the leaders of China and India, respect each other’s core interests and major concerns, strengthen mutual trust through dialogue and communication, properly settle differences with sincerity and good faith, and bring bilateral relations back to the track of stable and healthy development as soon as possible.

法新社记者：为削弱俄罗斯对乌克兰的战争行动，欧盟理事会昨日宣布实施新一轮制裁，首次对中国实体实施“全面制裁”，包括采取旅行禁令和资产冻结。外交部对此有何评论？

AFP: The Council of the European Union announced yesterday a new round of sanctions intended to weaken Russia’s war effort against Ukraine, and this included the first use of what the Council called fully-fledged sanctions against Chinese actors, including travel bans and asset freezes. Does the Foreign Ministry have a comment on these new sanctions?

林剑：中方一贯反对没有国际法依据、未经联合国安理会授权的单边制裁。对欧盟无理制裁中国企业表示强烈不满、坚决反对。在乌克兰问题上，中国一直致力于劝和促谈，从未向冲突方提供武器，严格管控军民两用物项出口，对无人机出口管制范围和措施是全球最严水平。中俄企业正常交往合作不应受到干扰和影响。当前包括欧美在内的大多数国家都在同俄罗斯开展贸易。我们敦促欧方不要在对俄经贸合作问题上搞双重标准，停止在没有事实依据的情况下对中方抹黑推责，停止损害中国企业合法利益。中方将采取必要措施，坚决维护中国企业的正当合法权益。

Lin Jian: China firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law or authorization by the UN Security Council. China deplores and firmly opposes the EU’s unjustified sanctions against Chinese companies. On the Ukraine crisis, China is committed to promoting talks for peace. China never provides weapons to the parties to the conflict and strictly controls the export of dual-use articles, and China’s scope and measures of export control over drones are the most stringent worldwide. The normal exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies should not be disrupted or interfered with. Most countries, including European countries and the US, have continued to trade with Russia. We urge the EU to stop applying double standard, stop falsely accusing and shifting the blame to China, and stop undermining the lawful rights and interests of Chinese companies. China will do what is necessary to firmly defend the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of Chinese companies.

《北京日报》记者：近段时间，海外社交平台上关于来华旅行的图文和视频备受欢迎。以“China Travel”为标签的单支视频在YouTube平台上播放量最高突破8000万次，TikTok视频总播放量近10亿。“周五下班去中国”也成为韩国等国社交媒体的新热词。发言人对此有何评论？

Beijing Daily: In recent months, the posts, pics and video clips about China Travel have been trending on overseas social media. A video tagged with “China Travel” garnered over 80 million views on Youtube, and videos with the same tag received nearly one billion views in total on TikTok. “Visiting China right after leaving office on Friday” has been a buzzword on the social media in the ROK and other countries. What’s your comment?

林剑：我也在网上看到不少外国网友“中国游”的视频，很多外国朋友通过镜头展现中国现代都市的繁华盛景和普通百姓的烟火日常。这其中既有对中国充满好奇的“头回客”，也有为中国魅力所吸引的“回头客”。

Lin Jian: I also saw quite a few “China Travel” videos posted by foreign internet users. Through their lens, many foreign friends offer a glimpse of the thriving and modern cities in China as well as the hustle and bustle of ordinary Chinese. Some of these curious visitors have never been to China, and others have visited our country more than once.

近段时间，中国已经同26个国家达成全面免签，先后对法国、德国等38国单方面免签，对54国实行过境免签，同157个国家和地区缔结互免签证协定。就在今天上午，中方宣布全面放宽优化过境免签政策，将过境免签外国人在境内停留时间由原72小时和144小时均延长为240小时，也就是10天，新增21个口岸为过境免签人员入出境口岸，并允许外国人跨区域通行。

In recent months, China has implemented a complete mutual visa exemption with 26 countries. We have issued a unilateral visa-free policy for 38 countries, including France and Germany, a visa-free transit policy for 54 countries, and reached mutual visa-free agreements with 157 countries and regions. This morning, China fully eased and improved the visa-free transit policy, extending the permitted stay for eligible foreign travelers to 240 hours, or 10 days, from the original 72-144 hours. Twenty-one ports of entry and exit have been added for visa-free transit individuals. Foreign nationals entering China through the visa-free transit policy can make cross-province travels within the allowed areas.

Reuters: China placed sanctions on 27 Trump administration officials during US President-elect Donald Trump’s first term, including his then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Please can you confirm whether those individuals are still under Chinese sanctions?

法新社记者：一名中国商人否认参与了间谍行动。英国首相斯塔默昨日表示，英政府“对中国构成的挑战表示关切”。中方对此有何回应？

AFP: UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said yesterday that his government is “concerned about the challenge that China poses,” as a Chinese businessman denied engaging in espionage. What is the Foreign Ministry’s response?

林剑：所谓“中国间谍”的指控十分荒唐。我想指出，中英关系发展既符合两国共同利益，也有利于促进世界经济增长、应对全球性挑战。希望英方同中方相向而行，多积累积极因素，彰显两国合作互利共赢的本质。

Lin Jian: The “China espionage” accusation is just preposterous. Let me stress that advancing China-UK relations is in the interest of both countries, and conducive to global growth and response to global challenges. We hope that the UK will work with China, accumulate positive factors, and manifest the fact that cooperation benefits both countries.
