Walking Tong'an's Silver Ground, Filming Progress All Around! Top Streamers Meet in Tong'an Town, Where a Different Xiamen Can Be Found!

On April 24, the “Walk Through China, Talk to the World” --- Quality Streamers’ China Tour visited Tianyang Village in Datong Subdistrict, Xiamen, Fujian Province. Amid the rural charm of distant mountains, winding waters, and fields surrounding the village, dozens of livestreamers from platforms such as Douyin, Kuaishou, and WeChat Channels walked throughout their journey, while live-streaming their experiences to their followers and offering "cloud tours" of the local scenery.

An official from Tong’an District expressed hope that through on-site exploration, more streamers would experience the unique charm of southern Fujian, and use their perspectives to vividly show the achievements of rural revitalization in Tong’an, effectively becoming storytellers for both Xiamen and Tong’an.

At Tianyang Academy, livestreamers explored party-building sites housed in traditional Southern Fujian buildings and sampled local delicacies like Zhazao (Fried Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls). At Chen Family Ancestral Hall, they admired a collection of plaques awarded to successful imperial exam candidates hanging in the main hall, experiencing the charm of Tong'an's "No. 1 Village for Imperial Examination Culture." At the "Aipin" (Fighting Spirit) Canteen, they learned hand drumming and Southern Fujian songs from local villagers. Through tasting local delicacies, experiencing folk traditions, and engaging with music, the streamers deeply immersed themselves in Tianyang Village's rural delights.

Tianyang's sugarcane, cultivated for several centuries, is renowned for being juicy, thin-skinned, leaving little residue, and naturally sweet. For a long period, it was the villagers' most important source of income. Today, sugarcane has also become a leverage point for the village's integrated agricultural-cultural-tourism industry development, inspiring creative content such as the "Mr. Sugarcane" IP and the Sugarcane Cultural Festival. In addition, the event included visits to enterprises such as Hithium Energy Storage and Meitu Company located in the Tong'an District, offering participants an up-close experience of the vigorous momentum of new quality productivity.

Nature's crafted beauty stands as one of Tianyang's most treasured wealth. Along the banks of the Xixi River, online streamers arrived at one of Tong'an's emerging rural tourism hotspots: the Tianyang Flower Sea.

Currently, the 1.5-kilometer flower sea is in full bloom, with pink and white cosmos flowers competing to unfold, their vibrant colors shining against the backdrop of crystal-clear water below. Walking along the footpaths, visitors are greeted by countless colorful pinwheels spinning gently overhead, their soft rustling adding to the tranquility of the surroundings. A ride on the miniature train, recently installed along newly laid tracks, offers an immersive journey through the floral expanse, with clusters of blossoms brushing past and floral scents wafting through the air.

"Tianyang is absolutely stunning --- this has been a truly magical journey," said outdoor livestreamer Xiao Shujie, who captured her experience through a live broadcast, sharing the scenic beauty with her online followers. "I've been to Xiamen many times, but this is my first visit to Xiamen's countryside. In Tong'an, I feel like I'm rediscovering Xiamen."

The Tianyang Flower Sea is expected to remain in bloom until June, making it an excellent rural tourism destination for citizens and tourists during the May Day holiday. Beyond its breathtaking views, the site also offers a variety of recreational activities.

Next to the Flower Sea, the "Streamside Fun Tong'an" project has offered a 2.4-kilometer sightseeing route, cleverly blending natural ecology with leisure entertainment. On the water, visitors can test their balance with solo kayaking, enjoy a tandem ride on swan boats, or work together on water bicycles that require teamwork. Along the banks, expansive lawns invite people for picnics and tea gatherings, while shaded camping canopies provide comfortable spots for them to take a break. In the children's zone, trampolines, carousels, space shuttles, and a giant inflatable castle promise a full day of fun for kids.

According to the Tong'an Urban Construction Company representative, with the May Day holiday approaching, the "Streamside Fun Tong'an" project will offer limited-time hand-fishing activities, creating joyful parent-child interactive moments while allowing visitors to not only enjoy playing in the water but also bring home their catch.

From the countryside to the coastline, the streamers' journey also took them along the Romantic East Coastal Line, where they experienced Tong'an's seaside charm at the Tefang Portman Seven Stars Bay & Resort.

Spanning 100,000 square meters, this French-style resort hotel serves both as an accommodation hub and a popular tourist attraction. Upon entering the lobby, visitors can see an 18-meter-high single-piece glass art dome, handcrafted by Italian artisans over three years. The hotel owns a marble façade identical to that of the Louvre Museum, along with a curated collection of hundreds of sculptures and oil paintings from around the world. Every detail contributes to creating the aesthetic of a classical "castle."

Of course, no visit to the Romantic East Coastal Line would be complete without a close encounter with the sea. A full range of waterfront activities is set to open --- Flyboarding, Dynamic Speedboats, and High-speed Flying Fish Rides --- all available for visitors to choose from.

There are two major categories for the event: the Health Run (20.25 kilometers) and the Parent-Child Run (5 kilometers), balancing both professional competition and broad public participation.
