The Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism has designed 10 classic inbound routes that celebrate the province’s rich cultural and natural heritage. These routes highlight 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 10 traditions inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, world-famous tea regions, historic villages and ancient houses, and the distinctive Fujian lifestyle. Each route weaves together Fujian’s cultural and scenic treasures into themed journeys, offering travelers a deep dive into the province’s essence. We warmly invite global travelers to explore Fujian as “a gallery of mountains and seas” and “a land of blessings”. Tour of World Heritage Sites

Highlights:

Embark on a journey to explore six World Heritage cities in Fujian: Xiamen, Quanzhou, Wuyishan (home to the Wuyi Mountains), Nanjing, Yongding, and Taining. Discover the unique charm of Fujian’s five world-class tourism brands.

DAY 1: Xiamen

Arrive in Xiamen. After lunch, visit Zhongshan Road, one of the “Top Ten Famous Streets in China”, and stroll around the sea-kissed garden of Kulangsu Island. Enjoy a dinner featuring Southern Fujian specialties and a kungfu tea ceremony.

DAY 2: Xiamen–Quanzhou

After breakfast, visit Island Ring Boulevard and Jimei School Village. Then, take a bus to Quanzhou to explore the Kaiyuan Temple, East and West Pagodas, and Luoyang Bridge. Experience the floral headdress tradition in Xunpu Village and savor Quanzhou’s specialties on Xijie Street.

DAY 1: Fuzhou

DAY 2: Fuzhou–Fu’an

Rich in intangible cultural heritage, Fujian is the only province in China recognized by UNESCO across all three international intangible cultural heritage protection categories. With over 850 national and provincial-level heritage projects, visitors can explore cities such as Quanzhou, Wuyishan, and Putian to experience the 10 traditions listed in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. These include Nanyin music, traditional Chinese tea-making techniques, Southern Fujian dwelling construction methods, and Mazu beliefs and customs.

DAY 1: Fuzhou

Explore the historic Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, visiting landmarks such as the Waterside Pavilion and Performing Stage, and enjoy local Fuzhou specialties. After dinner, depart for the Heart of the Minjiang River and take a night cruise to appreciate the city’s nightscape.

DAY 2: Fuzhou–Wuyishan

Visit the aromatic Chunlun Jasmine Tea Creative Culture Park to learn about traditional jasmine tea scenting techniques and enjoy a tea ceremony performance. Travel to Wuyishan by bullet train and enjoy a bamboo raft ride. In the evening, watch the spectacular Impression Dahongpao show.

DAY 3: Wuyishan–Putian

Visit the Wuyi Mountains National Forest Trails and savor the rock charm and floral fragrance of Dahongpao. DAY 5: Quanzhou–Jinjiang–Zhangzhou

Visit the Luoyang Bridge and Liusheng Pagoda, the first navigational tower of the ancient Maritime Silk Road.

DAY 3: Quanzhou
