Harvard Library search tool will understand intent behind the terms
Harvard Library is launching Collections Explorer, an AI-driven search tool that goes beyond keyword-based searches to understand user intent. Using generative AI and semantic search, it will allow natural language queries, making research more intuitive. Developed in partnership with Mozilla.ai, the tool will suggest relevant results and even refine searches dynamically. For example, a query like “What does Harvard have on the history of germ theory?” will return historical archives, related research, and additional search prompts.
