中国大使馆公使参赞王晓峰出席美国北卡华联春节春宴并致辞

【华人头条美国南北卡讯】中国大使馆公使参赞王晓峰携钱鲲鹏秘书、刘磊秘书一起参了美国北卡华联3月1日春宴盛会并致辞；他在致辞中说，北卡是个好地方，环境优美，人文卓越，可谓是天时地利人和。80年前，中国和美国并肩作战，两国人民在血与火中结下深厚友谊，其中就包括飞虎队成员、北卡的罗伯特中尉（Lieutenant Robert），他为中国人民的抗日斗争献出了生命。

王晓峰参赞致辞全文：

很高兴与北卡华联以及来自北卡州的各位嘉宾和朋友们共同欢度中国新年。北卡是一个有伟大自然的好地方，也创造了伟大的人。去年12月，我访问了北卡州，感觉就像我从未离开过。这一次，当我和优秀的人们人聚在一起时，我更加确信，今天永远是一个伟大的日子。在此，我谨代表中国驻美国大使馆向在座各位致以最诚挚的问候和良好的祝愿！

不久前，“春节——中国人民庆祝传统新年的社会习俗”被列入联合国教科文组织《人类非物质文化遗产代表名录》。我们的传统是走向世界的，因为我们与包括美国在内的世界其他国家有着共同的价值观，即人与人之间的和睦、人与自然的和谐。我们今天聚在一起也不是偶然的。今年的3月1日是农历二月的第二天——龙抬头，在中国我们称之为“正月初一，龙头节”。在中国的传说中，在这一天，天龙从冬天的沉睡中醒来，抬头望向天空。就像美国的土拨鼠日一样，我们的龙的上升预示着春天的重新开始，我认为这是中美两国迫切需要的未来一年的关系。

2025年是世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年。80年前，中美两国并肩作战，两国人民在血与火的考验中结下了深厚的友谊。来自北卡州高瀑布市的罗伯特·霍伊尔·厄普丘奇中尉是飞虎队的一员，他为中国人民抗日战争献出了生命。世界的总体和平与繁荣，是我们共同努力的结果。80年后，当我们再次置身于一个变化无常、动荡不安的世界时，中美关系继续向前发展。中美关系具有前所未有的全球意义，我们更需要为和平而奋斗，肩负起共同的责任。

中美关系虽然面临挑战，但广泛的共同利益和广阔的合作空间是有目共睹的。去年中美双边贸易额超过6800亿美元。大约有7.3万家美国公司在中国投资。中国是包括北卡州在内的32个美国州的前三大出口市场之一。我们在禁毒、气候变化、人工智能、人文交流等领域开展了广泛深入的合作。​两国领导人就加强各领域沟通与合作、稳定和发展中美关系达成重要共识。关系。这为中美关系开局顺利、大局稳定指明了方向。这也是两国人民的共同期待。中国愿意做美国的伙伴和朋友。

我们的中国同胞可以在这个时代最重要的事业中发挥更大的作用。虽然我们的祖国远隔重洋，但你们的心仍与这片土地紧紧相连。你们积极为中国现代化作出贡献，同时自豪地向海外推广中国优秀传统文化。在美国这里，在北卡州，你们将自己的才能融入当地社区，成为促进美国进步和滋养中美关系的理解桥梁。友谊。你们的双重遗产根植于传统，并延伸到世界各地，愿你们继续追求卓越，谱写成功的新篇章，担任文化大使，加深中美两国人民之间的相互了解和友好。无论你身在何处，塑造你精神的祖土永远是你的指南针和庇护所。

It gives me great pleasure to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the Chinese-American Friendship Association of North Carolina and all the distinguished guests and friends from North Carolina. North Carolina is such a good place with great nature, also creating great people. I visited North Carolina last December. And it only feels like I never left. This time when I gather together with this amazing group of people, I am even more convinced that it is always a great day to be a tar heel. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, I want to express our warmest regards and best wishes to you all!

Not long ago,“Spring festival, social practices of the Chinese people in celebration of traditional new year” was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Our tradition goes global, because we share the same value such as amity among people and harmony between man and nature, with the rest of the world including the United States. It’s also no accident we gather today. March 1 this year marks the second day of the second lunar month - the Dragon Heads-Raising Day, which in China we call “二月二，龙抬头”. Chinese legends tell on this day, the celestial dragon awakens from its winter slumber, raising its head to the skies. Much like Groundhog Day in America, our dragon’s ascent heralds renewed vitality to kick start spring, which I believe is badly needed for China-U.S. relationship in the year ahead.

The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. Eighty years ago, China and the United States fought side by side, and our two peoples forged a profound friendship amid the trials of blood and fire. Lieutenant Robert Hoyle Upchurch from High Falls, North Carolina, was a member of the Flying Tigers, and sacrificed his life for the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The overall peace and prosperity of the world has been maintained with our joint efforts. Eighty years later,as we find ourselves once again in a fluid and turbulent world, the China-U.S. relationship holds a global significance like never before, and we need all the more to fight for peace and live up to our common responsibility.

Though our bilateral relationship is facing challenges, the extensive common interests we share and the vast room for cooperation we enjoy are there for everyone to see. Two-way trade between China and the U.S. last year exceeded 680 billion U.S. dollars. Around 73,000 American companies are investing in China. China is in the top 3 export markets for 32 American States including North Carolina. We have carried out extensive and in-depth cooperation in counternarcotics, climate change, AI and people-to-people exchanges. Last month, President Xi Jinping had a phone call with President Donald Trump. The two leaders reached important common understandings on enhancing communication and cooperation in various fields and stabilizing and developing China-U.S. relations. This has charted the course for a smooth start and the overall stability of China-U.S. relations, which is also the shared anticipation of our two peoples. China is ready to be a partner and friend of the United States.

Our compatriots with Chinese heritage can play a bigger role in this most consequential cause of our times. Though oceans apart from our homeland, your hearts remain tethered to its soil. You actively contribute to Chinese modernization while proudly promoting China’s fine traditional culture overseas. Here in the United States, in North Carolina, you’ve woven your talents into the fabric of local communities, becoming bridges of understanding that elevate American progress and nourish China-U.S. friendship. With this dual legacy rooted in heritage and branching into the world, may you continue to strive for excellence, write new chapters of success, and serve as cultural ambassadors to deepen mutual understanding and goodwill between the Chinese and American people. Wherever you are,the ancestral soil that shaped your spirit will forever be your compass and sanctuary.
