Fuzhou-Nagoya Route Opened

At 17: 15 on April 1, flight MF8729 with 162 passengers took off from Changle Airport, marking the official opening of the route from Fuzhou to Nagoya, Japan.

According to reports, the newly opened Fuzhou-Nagoya route adopts a two-way flight mode three times a week, and the one-way flight time is about 3 hours, saving nearly 5 hours compared with the stop-and-go mode. Nagoya and Fuzhou are highly complementary in automobile manufacturing, electronic information and other industrial fields. The opening of this route will provide efficient commuting guarantee for business exchanges, technical exchanges and cultural and tourism cooperation between the two places.

In order to ensure the efficient and smooth maiden voyage, Fuzhou Airport Border Inspection Station built a “full-cycle and all-factor” security system, established a dynamic information sharing mechanism with airlines and airports by formulating special service plans and strengthening professional training of personnel. It used big data analysis to accurately predict the peak passenger flow and consolidate the security foundation in all directions. On the day of flight, the airport implemented the inspection mode of “intelligent diversion+ flexible channel” to provide safe and fast customs clearance experience for passengers on the first flight.

So far, Fuzhou Airport has added (resumed) four international passenger routes from Hanoi, Laos, Phnom Penh, Cambodia and Nagoya, bringing the number of international (regional) passenger routes to 21, covering Hong Kong, China, Macau, Taiwan Province, East Asia, Southeast Asia and America.

The opening of this route has increased the number of Fuzhou-Japan routes to four, forming an air traffic matrix with Tokyo, Osaka and Naha routes in Japan. Statistics show that in the first quarter of this year, there were 394,000 entry-exit personnel at Fuzhou Airport, up 15% year-on-year, among which the proportion of people traveling to Japan increased to 16%.
